The Utah Academy of Family Physicians (UAFP) accepts ideas throughout the year for ideas for the UAFP Journal, a bi-yearly magazine distributed to over 1200 family physicians, family medicine residents, and medical student members in Utah.
If you or someone you know is interested in having their work published, please fill out the brief form below. Space is limited and articles will be accepted at the discretion of the editorial team on a first-come, first-served basis.
Article length should be between 600-1200 words and include 2-3 photos and/or graphs
Typical subject matter includes features on clinical topics and other subjects that affect today’s family physicians such as:
- Clinical changes and/or transitions
- Practice management and technology
- Health equity and diversity
- Mental health management
- Practice implications
- Global health
- Physician wellness
- Social determinants of health (SDOH)
- Healthcare advocacy and legislation
The content should relate to the interests of family physicians, family medicine residents, and medical students with an interest in family medicine.
Deadlines:
If you have any idea for the spring/summer issue, ideas must be submitted by March 1. If your article idea is accepted, a draft will be due by April 10th.
For the fall/winter issue, ideas must be submitted by September 1. If your article idea is accepted, a draft will be due by October 10th.
